Kangaroo Apple – Poroporo

An evergreen shrub from New Zealand with mid-green leaves. Clusters of purple flowers from summer to autumn, followed by bright orange fruits.

Max Height 1.8m. Max Spread 1.5m.

Flowers June to September. Fruits September.

Full sun.

Half hardy.

*Harmful if eaten.

Germination tips:

Sow in spring onto a good seed compost. Cold stratification will increase germination.

Cover lightly with vermiculite or compost.

Keep in a propagator until large enough to handle.
