An outstanding, multi-stemmed bushy shrub from New Zealand with lush purple/bronze glossy new growth. It can reach 5m in the wild, less in the UK but easily pruned to keep it manageable. It produces small inconspicuous green flowers followed by black berries.
Max height 2-2.5m
Full sun to partial shade.
Moist well drained soil.
Hardy to -5C.
Germination tips:
Soak seed for 24 hours.
Sow onto a good seed compost and lightly cover with compost and cold stratify for 4 weeks.
Place into a propagator until germination.
Germination can take months.
