Jade Vine
A tropical woody vine from the pea family, native to the tropical rainforest of the Philippines. The vines can reach up to 20m long and climb the trees to reach the light in the canopy. Trifoliate pale green leaves emerge bronze in colour. Gorgeous jade green flowers produced in pendant clusters hang like grapes from the stems, each raceme can hold around 70 individual flowers.
Max height 20m.
Flowers May – July.
Full sun to partial shade.
Rich, organic, moist soil. Requires plenty of humidity.
