Rainbow Orchid – Fire-star Orchid – Crucifix Orchid
A terrestrial and epiphytic orchid found in tropical and subtropical America, now classed as a weed in some parts. Often grows alongside Asclepias curassavica and Lantana camara. The petals are usually red-orange, with a tri-lobed fringed yellow lip but after pollination, they turn dark red.

Full sun-partial shade.
Well drained soil.
Frost hardy. Protect in sold winters or bring inside.
