Winter’s Bark
Dense, upright shrub or small tree with aromatic bark and leathery leaves, dark green above, blue-white beneath. Large clusters of fragrant ivory white flowers.
Native to the Magellanic and Valdivian temperate rain forests of Chile and Argentina.
Max Height 15m. Max Spread 10m.
Flowers April to May.
Full sun/partial shade.
Hardy.
Germination tips:
Soak seed for 24 hours.
Cold stratify for 28+ days. Or sow in autumn in a cold frame.
Use gritty seed compost using the baggy method.
