A unusual climbing shrub from the Philippines that produces an edible tuber known as a Yam. It needs to be cooked properly otherwise it can be toxic. The stems have 3 large leaves and they thrive in tropical forests with high rainfall and can grow in a range of soils.
Max height 10m.
Full to part shade.
Moist soil.
Tender needs to be kept above 20C
