Colocasia ‘Pharaoh’s Mask’
Elephant Ear
A very rare tropical plant with deep green heart shaped leaves with protruding, almost black veins giving it a 3D effect. The veins develop more over time and causes the whole leaf to reflex back giving it a mask like appearance. ‘Pharaoh’s Mask’ was first introduced in the US by Brian Williams, breeding from a mutant form of Colocasia ‘Dark Star’. Produces yellow aroid flowers 30cm long.
Max height 1.2-1.5m.
Partial shade.
Requires moist soil, can be used in bog gardens.
Tender.
One for the aroid collector.
