Monkey Puzzle
A slow growing upright conifer with evergreen spirally arranged sharp pointed leaves. Native to southern Chile and Argentina. Known as a living fossil as it dates back millions of years. Thy prefer slightly acidic soil but can grow in most soil types. As well as being known as Monkey Puzzle it can also be referred to as Monkey Tail Tree and Chilean Pine. The seeds produce a nut like fruit which can be eaten.
Max Height 15m to 25m. Max Spread 7m to 10m.
Full Sun.
Hardy.
