A small tropical tree or shrub native to South America with large, round, green, purple veined leaves with purple spines which can reach 60cm in length. Purple/lilac flowers followed by small orange fruit.
Max Height 2m. Max Spread 2m.
Flowers June to September. Fruits September.
Full sun.
Not hardy.
Germination Tips:
* Sow in well drained sandy mix.
* Keep between 20-25 degrees C.
* Can take up to 28 days to germinate.
