A small tropical tree or shrub native to Indonesia and Thailand with large, round, green, white veined leaves covered in spines. White flowers followed by small edible yellow-orange hairy fruit.

Flowers June to September.
Fruits September.
Full sun.
Not hardy.
Germination tips:
Soak seed for 3 hours in water.
Sow seed in spring approx. 13mm deep in good seed compost.
Place into a heated propagator at 25C.
