A dramatic exotic plant native to the southeastern Mediterranean Basin, Eastern Africa, with striking maroon/carmine young growth. Clusters of creamy yellow blooms, followed by maroon pods. The plants can grow so fast that they can be used as a very large and dramatic annual in the garden.
Height 1-2m.
Full sun/partial shade.
Not hardy.
TOXIC. All parts of the plant are poisonous if ingested.
