Pseudopanax ferox is an unusual evergreen tree from New Zealand with narrow finely-toothed, dark green/purple leathery leaves. Leaf colour darkens in sunlight. As the tree matures these leaves become shorter and wider.

Max Height 6m. Max Spread 3m.

Full sun to partial shade.

Moist, well drained soil.

Hardy.
