Musa basjoo is a very popular, handsome banana with large green leaves and creamy-yellow flowers with brown bracts. A must have for any tropical garden. It’s the hardiest banana you can grow in the UK.

Max Height 5m. Max Spread 3m.

Flowers July. Fruits October.

Full sun/partial shade.

Root Hardy to -15°C.

Wrap in severe winters to protect pseudostem using straw and fleece.
