Another fast growing banana from Thailand. When young the plant is green but with exposure to plenty of sunlight the pseudostem will turn glossy black and the petioles brown to black! The leaves are tougher than most Musa making it more wind tolerant. A real collectors Musa.

Max height 4-5m.

Full sun to partial shade.

Moist, fertile, well drained soil.

Tender. Requires winter protection.
