Gunnera magellanica

Dwarf Rhubarb – Devil’s Strawberry

A mat-forming perennial native to Chile, Argentina and the Falkland Islands, and Andean areas of Peru, Ecuador. In the southern part of its range it grows in damper parts of the Magellanic Forests. Cup-shaped glossy dark green leaves. Panicles of tiny green flowers followed by orange red fruit.

Max Height 15cm. Max Spread 30cm.

Flowers June to August. Fruits July to August.

Full sun/partial shade.

Frost hardy.
