Tomatillo Tree Tomato

A species of tomato native to South America. This unusual shrub/small tree is very quick growing and can reach up to 5m. The flowers are pink-white, and form clusters of 10 to 50 flowers. They produce 1 to 6 fruits per cluster. The fruits are very high in vitamins and iron and low in calories.

Full sun.

Free draining, fertile soil.

Not hardy.

* Sow onto good quality seed compost from March.
* Lightly cover seed.
* Place into heated propagator or windowsill and keep moist.
