Hidden Cone Ginger
A perennial herb with pink snapdragon like blossoms that emerge from large colourful pinkish bracts. The leaves are tall with a central purple stripe. The flowers emerge like pine cones on tall stems in late summer. The edible roots (Turmeric) of the plants can be used for many purposes, cooking, treating inflammation, pain, and a variety of skin ailments including wounds, perfumery and soap fabrication.
Native to India.
