Description
Typhonium nubicum syn Sauromatum
An unusual shade loving perennial from Asia. Produces a tubular shaped, yellow flower with brown speckles which surrounds a brown central spike which smells like rotting flesh. Following the bloom of the flower large palm like leaves emerge on mottled stems. Flowers early summer.
Height 90cm.
Hardy.
Mulch with a layer of bark in very cold winters.
